Ignalina District is within an easy reach by one of the oldest railways in Lithuania (Warsaw- St. Petersburg , 1862), by highways Vilnius – Visaginas, Vilnius – Utena, Kaunas – Zarasai and roads connecting them: Utena – Švenčionys, Ukmergė – Ignalina . All the roads are surfaced with asphalt.
Recently a small airport has been opened near Ignalina, which can be accessed by bus running every two hours from the direction of Vilnius and Visaginas and once a day from Marijampolė, Panevėžys and Kaunas.
The distance from Ignalina to Jonalaukis rural tourism farmstead is just 5 km. So, if you choose public transport to travel by, pick- up can be arranged.
The distance from Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, to Ignalina is 110 km.
